Submit an Idea to 100 Sites

Do you have an idea for a website that serves a specific community? We're always looking for new opportunities in the missing middle—markets that are too big for small businesses but too small for venture capital.

What we're trying to do: Build websites for communities that share common experiences, problems, or characteristics. These sites solve real issues, have sustainable revenue potential, and serve mid-market audiences (100,000 to 1 million people). We leverage existing open source software to build quickly and efficiently.

Requirements for Us to Consider Your Idea

For us to seriously consider your idea, it should meet these five requirements:

1. Have a Community with 2 or More Shared Things

The community should share at least two of the following:

  • Experience the same problems
  • Same life experience
  • Same age
  • Same location

2. Has Potential for Revenue (to be Sustainable)

The idea should have one or more revenue streams:

  • Views of pages (lots of users we can advertise to)
  • Fees (people are willing to pay for the service)
  • Increase revenue of someone's business
  • Decrease costs of someone's business

3. Solves an Issue

The idea should address one or more of these problems:

  • Lack of data (or access to certain data that we know is out there in the public or users have it and are willing to share)
  • Lack of connection channels (users wouldn't meet otherwise, there's no "place" for them now)
  • Provides actionable tasks (e.g. connection, decision making off of the data, etc.)

4. Mid Market Size

Approximately 100,000 to 1 million people could use this.

5. Can Leverage Existing Open Source Software

The idea should be buildable with:

  • Open source software that's available for us to use legally (e.g. web frameworks, bootstrap, pandas, etc.)
  • Not too crazy of new tech (e.g. have an AI robot come to my door and feed my dog). We aren't high tech, we're community building in a clever way.

Think Your Idea Fits?

If your idea meets these requirements, we'd love to hear from you. Fill out the form below and tell us about your idea, the community it serves, and how it addresses these requirements.
